Using the right release material is critical for vinyl window manufacturing.
PTFE-coated weld paper (fabric and tape) protects window profiles from platen damage. AFCās latest product line, DuraStickĀ® HD Elite, was specifically designed to maximize weld plate performance. The 285-05 (.005ā thick) and 285-06 (.006ā) options provide superior heat transfer over competitive products, ensuring a clean weld. By adding a specialty coating mix, an abrasion-resistant barrier is formed between window profile and weld plate. A high performance silicone adhesive is then applied to prevent residue buildup on the platens.
