Welcome George Stringham!

It is with mixed emotions that AFC announces Julian Flores will be leaving AFC as he and his family have decided to move. Julian started his career with AFC on the shop floor and, over his 13 years at AFC, he has earned roles of greater responsibility up to and including his most recent role as the BU Manager of Coating. We are proud of Julian’s accomplishments as he has proven to be an extremely knowledgeable and versatile member of the team. We would like to thank Julian sincerely for all that he has done and wish him and his family all the best in the future.

With Julian’s departure, we are pleased to announce that George Stringham has joined the AFC team as the Business Unit Manager – Coating at LITH. George will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the coating operations at Lake in the Hills, IL.

George comes to AFC with over 30 years of manufacturing and leadership experience. He started his career as a machinist and has advanced his roles to include Manufacturing Manager, Quality Manager/CI Manager, and General Manager.

George has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Management from DeVry, and has completed various professional development courses including Lean Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Project Management. George is a well-rounded collaborative leader who believes strongly in continuous improvement.
