AFC has joined INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry.

This organization is composed of nonwoven fabric producers, manufacturers of finished products, suppliers of fibers, chemicals, machinery and other items as well as associate members in the academic/ consulting fields and other associations with a vested interest in the industry.

President Chris Lewis remarked, “AFC is excited to partner with INDA and learn from their industry insights. We look forward to sharing 30 years of PTFE belting knowledge with members of the nonwoven community.”

AFC manufactures belting used in the production of high loft nonwovens, which are textile fibers bonded together to form a fabric (example shown below). These materials can be found in insulation and padding for clothing, comforters, furniture, and mattresses, among others. This process uses AFC’s DuraFlow® PTFE-coated fiberglass mesh to facilitate hot air circulation while also preventing the fibers from sticking to the belt.
